Hello,
I am currently a preschool teacher in a “Traditional” classroom setting, located in Michigan with a curriculum which follows High Scope. As I have worked with this age group for over three years I have started to grow away from the High Scope curriculum, for several reasons which cover the curriculum as a whole.
In the last two years I have come to love Montessori education and have plans for becoming a Montessori teacher. Since I have not yet graduated with my teaching degree, Elementary Education, I have not yet been able to start the process for making the transition to Montessori education.
My question is does anyone know of any books, primary textbooks, which cover Montessori curriculum, lesson plans, classroom environment, student outcomes for preschool-Kindergarten.
Like I mentioned earlier I do know a vast amount of information on Montessori education. I am just looking for supplemental information to cover any gaps I may have in this curriculum style.
